Chimpanzees' Christmas Party at Kumamoto Sanctuary 8th and 9th December, 2012 In the chill wind caused by the coldest weather front so far this winter, we made large Christmas wreaths from green bamboo. We gathered fresh bamboo from the base of the cliff, beat it down so that it could be manipulated easily, and formed circular loops. Participants made lovely decorations from colourful pieces of fruit and vegetable, applying their creative ideas and tremendous enthusiasm. We decorated the bamboo rings with these decorations; creating huge, special Christmas wreaths All participants and chimpanzees really enjoyed these
two days. Many thanks to all participants and the staff at the Kumamoto Sanctuary!
